Tramadol and acute sport injuries
![]() |
Most injuries heal completely. In situations where you need to get back in the game quickly, it can accelerate healing. If you are in training, or in the middle of your season, and don't want to be sidelined with an injury, we can help.
This is a special note regarding management of acute injuries.
If you like to do everything possible to keep yourself from healing
your injured tissue, do the following:
Just ice down the injury, wrap it tightly, then take anti-inflammatory
medication (the standard RICE formula). This will very effectively
keep your immune system from triggering your healing mechanism.
If you don't like to do something like this, then try treating your
acute injuries differently. Use Ultram (tramadol) for pain control,
use heat, and keep using the affected part as much as you can. You
will heal faster and stronger.
